After the M401 session, the next big project for this internship has been grading library take-home worksheets. The take-home worksheets were structured in the order of material we taught in class. Because I had 3 sections, I had 30 worksheets to grade. Grading the worksheets proved useful in evaluating each students’ progress towards their research projects. It became evident that many students struggled with refining their topics at such an early stage in the writing process, but this was to be expected. As students conduct more research they will better get a sense of what they want to argue.
