Dean David Allison recently testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology on November 13. The committee held a hearing on “Strengthening Transparency or Silencing Science? The Future of Science in EPA Rulemaking.”

In addition to his duties as Dean of the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, Allision serves as a member of the Reproducibility and Replicability in Science Committee for The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
Allison helped write a 2019 National Academies report on reproducibility and replicability in science that recommends ways researchers, academic institutions, journals, and funders should help strengthen rigor and transparency in order to improve the reproducibility and replicability of scientific research.
