Dr. Carrie Lawrence, an assistant research scientist at the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, has been named a member of the IU School of Medicine Exemplar of Professionalism Honor Roll.

The IU School of Medicine has an extraordinary community of colleagues and the Exemplar of Professionalism Honor Roll is an exciting award to recognize those at the school who embody the core values of excellence, respect, integrity, diversity, and cooperation. Celebrating positive role models who uphold the IU School of Medicine Honor Code in their daily interactions, the Exemplar designation is designed to recognize faculty, residents, fellows, students, and staff members.
“Dr. Lawrence has displayed great leadership, support, understanding, and honesty in every situation I have approached her with. She mentors research students, interns, is a liaison, and provides advocacy for extremely vulnerable populations. I could not think of a more deserving recipient of this award,” said Antonia Sawyer, a staff member of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) and director of the Indiana Healthy Weight Initiative.
Recipients receive an accolade from IU School of Medicine Dean Jay Hess, a lapel pin signifying their membership in the Honor Roll, a feature on the learning environment website, and are honored at the annual White Coat Ceremony.
