Targeted at hospitality industry professionals, a new, no-cost, online course from the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington aims to provide professionals a thorough understanding of public health issues across the spectrum of hospitality venues. Mitigating threats and ensuring preventive measures are taken in the food and beverage facilities play a crucial role in ensuring public wellbeing and safety.
Access to the course is free and open to anyone. After taking the course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the unique link between hospitality services and public health
- Recognize infectious diseases and biohazards present in hospitality operations
- Identify basic infectious disease prevention measures relevant to their workplace
