Motivations and Impact:
“Nursing happens where the people are. Community-engaged health care is a natural extension; an expectation, as, for me, the primary role of a nurse is to be an advocate for those he/ she serves. As anurse educator, I have an obligation to the future of myprofession and to the public to role model these behaviors for students. I am hopeful that students become engaged when they “see me in action” and consider the impact of what they can do and be. For our community, I hope I am providing hope and care–one patient, one family, at a time.”
