Motivations and Impact:
“Nursing happens where the people are. Community-engaged health care is a natural extension,an expectation. The primary role of a nurse is to be an advocate for those he/ she serves. As anurse educator, I have an obligation to the future of my profession and to the public to role model these behaviors for students. I am hopeful that students become engaged when they “see me in action” and consider the impact of what they can do and be. It is my goal that we can provide hope and care to our community–one patient, one family, at a time.”
