“Our motivation is bringing the arts to our community through artistic endeavors. We have partnered with the with South Ben Symphony Orchestra to produce the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Concert every January which brings the music of African American composers to the general public. Our outreach includes housing the South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra on the campus for the past 50 years and providing performance opportunities for our students. Our Teddy Bear Concert has partnered with The Center for the Homeless for the past 10 years. We donatenew teddy bears to the Center after our annual concert, bringingsome extra joy to the residents. Over the past 10 years we have probably donated over 2,000 bears and other stuffed animals to the Center.”
