Indiana University’s Indiana Business Research Center has developed a new tool called Innovation Index 2.0, also known as II 2.0, to compare regions around the United States in the categories of economic dynamics, human capital, productivity and employment, and well-being.
Development of II 2.0 was funded by the U.S. Economic Development Agency, which charges nothing to provide communities with data and resources.
According to a U.S. EDA newsletter, “The Innovation Index 2.0 also provides a set of analytic tools and data that can help regional leaders reach a strong consensus on their region’s strategic direction. Data and analysis can inform stakeholders’ collective action toward a common vision and can guide complex decision-making at a regional level by identifying region’s capabilities, challenges and potential.”
The U.S. EDA and the Indiana Business Review provide additional information about II 2.0 online.
