As more than 1,250 university officials converge on Indianapolis on Nov. 15-17 for the 128th annual meeting of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, about 150 select members will take a special tour hosted by Innovate Indiana and IUPUI.
On Monday afternoon (Nov. 16), 150 senior university representatives will board buses and travel to Indy’s Near East Side and the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus to see how Indiana universities use community partnerships to encourage innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development.
“Collectively, the tour and panel discussions we have assembled represent an outstanding opportunity for Indiana University and IUPUI, as well as for our featured stakeholder partners. It will showcase our leading collaborative resources, practices and expertise in community and economic engagement to our visiting colleagues from other universities around the country.”
— David Gard, IU assistant vice president for economic development
