The groundbreaking ceremony for a new, $45 million Arts & Sciences Building to be shared by Indiana University Northwest and Ivy Tech Community College is set for 5:30 p.m. next Thursday (June 18) in the lobby of the Savannah Center.
About half of the three-story, 126,300-square-foot building will host IU Northwest’s fine arts and performing arts programs, as well as academic and administration space for the College of Arts and Sciences. Nearly one-third of the building will be used by Ivy Tech science programs and serve as a “one-stop shop” for enrollment and admission services. The rest of the building will contain classrooms and study spaces used by both campuses.
The building will be located at the corner of Broadway Avenue and 35th Street on the IU Northwest campus in Gary. Additional details are available here:
