Greetings Pages account owners,
As part of continuing efforts to secure the Pages environment, sendmail features will be disabled by default for all accounts starting Wednesday, January 12. Accounts with sendmail disabled will not be able to send mail generated from the server, including from user created scripts, web forms, and cron jobs running on the server.
To request access to send email from Pages, account owners must submit a request from the WebTech website. The form will be made available beginning Wednesday.
Access requests will be granted in 1-2 business days.
Additionally, the December 28, 2021 change that disallowed executing binaries or scripts on the Pages SSH server will be reverted. Users will once again have the ability to run scripts from their home directory.
For more information, please see About the Pages server.
If you have further questions, please contact your local campus Support Center.
Thank you,
The Enterprise Web Technical Services and UITS Support Center teams
