Our fall EdCert professional training courses wrap up in December and include CompTIA and ISC² courses.
CompTIA PenTest+ CompTIA Penetration tester course will be held Mon – Fri, Nov 15 – 19. Register by Wednesday, Nov 10th.
Description: PenTest+ assesses the most up-to-date penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment and management skills necessary to determine the resiliency of the network against attacks. The CompTIA PenTest+ certification exam will verify successful candidates have the knowledge and skills required to:
- Plan and scope a penetration testing engagement
- Understand legal and compliance requirements
- Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing using appropriate tools and techniques, and then analyze the results
- Produce a written report containing proposed remediation techniques, effectively communicate results to the management team, and provide practical recommendations
ISC² CISSP will be held Mon – Fri, Nov 29 to Dec 3. Register by Wednesday, Nov 24th.
Description: The CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) course will expand upon your knowledge by addressing the essential elements of the eight domains that comprise a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) for information systems security professionals. These include Security and Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development Security. The course offers a job-related approach to the security process, while providing a framework to prepare for CISSP certification.
Our final December course is CompTIA A+ Core 2 which will be held Mon – Fri, Dec 13 – 17. Register by Wednesday, December 8th.
Description: CompTIA A+ is the industry-preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. It is about much more than PC repair. Candidates are better prepared to troubleshoot and problem solve, and technicians will better understand a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security. A+ supports the ability to connect users to the data they need to do their jobs regardless of the devices in use. CompTIA A+ Core 2 covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures. Vendor-neutral and designed to assist in preparing for the CompTIA A+ Core 2 certification examination, 220-1002, one of two exams required for CompTIA A+ certification.
Our EdCert courses meet in an ONLINE ATTENDANCE ONLY format allowing attendance remotely from your own workstations, and continues to support those in a work from home environment.
