Starting next week, there will be an update to the Duo Mobile app that will give it a new look. The redesigned app will include a few new features, but we wanted you to be aware of a significant change to version 4.0 of the app. The locations of the Approve and Deny buttons are being swapped as you’ll see in this mockup:
The official Duo Security YouTube channel has a summary of all the changes to the redesigned Duo Mobile app [1].
What is not changing?
The core functionality of Duo Mobile is not changing. You will continue to be able to:
- Receive a Duo Push
- Use passcodes
- Add, edit, reorder, and remove accounts
- Backup and restore accounts
- Use dark mode
- And anything else you can do in the current version of the app
When the redesigned Duo Mobile launches, will users need to do anything?
If you have enabled automatic app updates on your device, Duo Mobile will update automatically. You can also manually update Duo Mobile.
