IT Professionals:
In December we notified IT Pros of the planned retirement of the PGP appliance managed by Endpoint Management Services (formerly Leveraged Services). We provided a report of all endpoints in PGP console at that time.
With the help of several IT Pros and members of UISO/PO, we have reduced the console population considerably in Phase I. Currently only devices that have checked in since 8/1/2016 and have encrypted disks reported by the agent remain in the console. A new impact list that contains those devices is available [1]. It is broken down into three reports, the full report, devices seen in the last 90 days, and a match of devices found to be bound to Active Directory.
Next Steps: Phase II
- There are only 60 days remaining to remediate any devices in the console.
- The service is on schedule to be retired June 1.
- Please refer to the impact list and uninstall PGP agents from your remaining devices.
- Re-encrypt devices using BitLocker, FileVault, or alternative encryption software.
We will send another notification May 3 to announce the details of Phase III where we will decommission the service.
Thank you for all your efforts in helping us with this retirement project.
