27th annual Statewide IT Conference
This year’s conference begins with preconference activities on April 11. On April 12 and 13 there will be keynote talks, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. See the program for details. This year’s conference is offered virtually and in person, but it is not a true hybrid event. All sessions—unless they are designated “in person only”—will be live streamed and recorded, allowing for limited participation from online attendees. Registration required.

Vendor Event – Apple IT Tech Camps and Apple Office Hours
Apple invites you to their annual IT Tech Camps on Wednesdays, April 12 and 19. Each Tech Camp will be followed by an Office Hours session for extended discussion on the same topic. These sessions are available to all higher education clients and are not IU exclusive events. Registration required. See IT Pro mailing for registration details.

CompTIA Linux+ course builds on your existing experience with systems operations and administration to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to configure, manage, operate, and troubleshoot a Linux environment by using security best practices, scripting, and automation. CompTIA Linux+ covers common tasks in major distributions of Linux, including the Linux command line, basic maintenance, installing and configuring workstations, and networking. This course assists in the preparation for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam (XK0-005).

EdCert course – Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals ($350)
9am-4pm ET

This one-day course will provide foundational knowledge of core data concepts and related Microsoft Azure data services. Students will learn about core data concepts such as relational, non-relational, big data, and analytics, and build their foundational knowledge of cloud data services within Microsoft Azure. Students will learn about large-scale data warehousing, real-time analytics, and data visualization. The courses aligns to the DP-900 exam objective domain.

Limited to the first 20 registrants, “IT Professionals: conversations” is the IT Community Partnerships in-person pre-conference event at this year’s Statewide IT conference on April 11 from 2 to 4pm. This session will provide IT Professionals a chance to reorient themselves with UITS services, put faces to names, and have conversations directly with service owners.
