To provide the advanced technical training available in UITS EdCert courses, the instructor not only has to be a certified trainer by each vendor but also must achieve professional certification – pass the certification exam and maintain certification – in each course being taught.
EdCert Principal IT Training Specialist Robert De Roeck maintains both requirements as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), (ISC)² Authorized Instructor, Red Hat Certified Instructor (RHCI), and CertNexus Authorized Instructor (CAI). He’s awaiting results on the 7th certification exam taken between January and April of this year, having passed the other 6 taken during that time to complement his portfolio of 30 certifications. In other words, in addition to obtaining qualified, experienced training in an EdCert course, you also have a source for questions you may have about achieving professional IT certification.
IT Community Partnerships (ITCP) supports IT professionals at Indiana University through timely communications of important IT information, opportunities to connect with the IT community, and data resources to aid in decision-making for their unit or service.
