The spring 2025 IT Training Education Certification Program (EdCert) schedule is open for registration.
All courses meet 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
The course offerings this spring are:
CompTIA Network+ – January 27–31
This course validates the skills needed to establish, maintain, and troubleshoot essential business networks securely. Unlike vendor-specific certifications, it prepares candidates to support networks on any platform and covers the precise skills needed in today’s networking environments. This course helps prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam (N10-008).
CompTIA DataSys+ – February 10–14
This course covers essential skills for managing and securing data systems. It includes database design, deployment, management, and security, as well as scripting and programming fundamentals. The course prepares candidates to handle data administration tasks, ensure business continuity, and comply with governance and regulatory requirements. This course helps prepare for the CompTIA DataSys+ certification exam (DS0-001).
CompTIA A+ Core2 – February 24–28
CompTIA A+ is the preferred credential for technical support and IT operations roles, covering more than PC repair. It prepares candidates to troubleshoot and solve a wide range of issues, from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security. The A+ Core 2 exam focuses on installing and configuring operating systems, security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures. This vendor-neutral course helps prepare for the CompTIA A+ Core 2 certification exam (220-1102), one of two exams required for certification.
CompTIA PenTest+ – March 10–14
This course is for IT professionals aiming to develop penetration testing skills to identify and remediate information-system vulnerabilities. It covers general concepts and methodologies, planning and scoping assessments, legal and compliance requirements, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, data analysis, and reporting. This course helps prepare for the CompTIA PenTest+ PT0-002 certification exam.
Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Series – March 24–28
This course teaches IT professionals to configure advanced Windows Server services using on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies. Skills include leveraging Azure’s hybrid capabilities, migrating workloads to Azure IaaS, securing Azure VMs, and performing high availability, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery tasks. Key tools include Windows Admin Center, PowerShell, Azure Arc, Azure Automation Update Management, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Azure Security Center, Azure Migrate, and Azure Monitor. This course also helps prepare for the AZ-801 certification exam.
CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+) – May 19–23
This course covers advanced security skills in various environments, governance, risk, and compliance, and leading technical teams. It prepares candidates to architect and implement secure solutions, support ongoing security operations, apply security practices across different infrastructures, and consider governance, risk, and compliance impacts. This course helps prepare for the CompTIA SecurityX (CAS-005) certification exam.
CompTIA Server+ – June 2–6
The CompTIA Server+ course builds on your professional experience to enhance skills for administering network servers in data center or cloud environments. It covers the latest server technologies, including virtualization, security, and network-attached storage. Key skills include server architecture, administration, storage, security, networking, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery. This course helps prepare for the Server+ SK0-005 certification exam.
Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals – June 24
This course provides foundational knowledge on security, compliance, and identity concepts across cloud-based Microsoft services. It covers the capabilities of Microsoft Entra, security solutions, and compliance solutions. This course helps prepare students for the SC-900 certification exam.
Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals – June 26
This course teaches the business value and capabilities of Power Platform. You’ll create Power Apps, connect data with Dataverse, build a Power BI Dashboard, automate processes with Power Automate, and build a chatbot with Power Virtual Agents. Skills gained include understanding Power Platform components, Microsoft Dataverse, Connectors, AI Builder, cross-cloud scenarios, and implementing simple solutions with Power Platform tools.
