The recording of the coffee hours by Endpoint Management Services, originally presented on September 20, 2024, is now live.
RedShelf will be performing scheduled maintenance on their eReader, also known as Unizin Engage, starting at 11pm on Thursday, October 3 and concluding at 12am on Friday, October 4.
Pearson will be conducting three maintenances in October that will impact a variety of standalone and integrated digital learning tools offered at IU. Details at announcement link.

EdCert course – Microsoft Automating Administration with PowerShell
8:30am-4:30pm ET

This course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills to use PowerShell for administering and automating administration of Windows servers. This course provides students the skills to identify and build the command they require to perform a specific task. In addition, students learn how to build scripts to accomplish advanced tasks such as automating repetitive tasks and generating reports.

IT Leadership Community workshop – Identifying Work + Life Needs & Making Changes
2-3pm ET
In this interactive workshop, attendees will explore their values and priorities for work and personal life and be guided through making a plan toward a specific change. Attendees will have an opportunity to share recognitions in breakout groups. This workshop could be a helpful resource for employees ahead of Performance at IU conversations, if those occur with their supervisor. This IT Leadership Community workshop is open to anyone in the IU IT community. Meeting Zoom link is available at the event link.

Supercomputing For Everyone Series: High Performance Computing for Biologists
2-4pm ET

This workshop introduces IU Biology faculty, staff, and students to High Performance Computing (HPC) and the resources UITS Research Technologies makes available to them at IU to empower their research. This course follows on from the Introduction to HPC workshop and will cover the bioinformatics software available on IU’s supercomputing systems, the best ways to transfer, compute on, and store biological data, and how to efficiently utilize the systems. Endpoint Management Services – coffee hours: macOS Common Build
3-4pm ET
Endpoint Management Services (EMS) invites you to bi-weekly, one-hour Microsoft Teams coffee hours to discuss and field questions about the IU Common Build and IU Print. This session is focused on macOS Common Build. This will be followed in two weeks with a session focused on Windows Common Build, then two weeks later on IU Print. These session topics will continue to rotate every two weeks for the next several months to give you the opportunity to become more informed about these services and to ask questions.

IU Women in IT – Candid Conversations for Caregivers

Join us for a virtual, informal, and candid discussion about caregiving. Whether you care for someone who is elderly, disabled, a relative, a child, a spouse, or any other loved one, IUWIT recognizes that being a caregiver can be extremely stressful. In this virtual setting, we invite you to vent, share resources and experiences, and find support from other caregivers. All sessions are open to anyone of any gender.
