We’re pleased to announce the fall 2024 EdCert schedule, which includes a return of EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) course. This course covers ethical hacking and countermeasures to assist in enhancing your security posture.
EdCert’s fall semester has courses from fundamental to advanced levels with topics from industry leaders Microsoft, CompTIA, CertNexus, and EC-Council. Courses will be available only as an online option, participating remotely from your own workstation. Classes meet from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

July 8-12 CompTIA Data+ Register by July 3
CompTIA Data+ is an early-career data analytics certification for professionals tasked with developing and promoting data-driven business decision making. As the importance for data analytics grows, more job roles are required to set context and better communicate vital business intelligence. Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data can drive priorities and lead business decision making. CompTIA Data+ validates that certified professionals have the skills required to facilitate data-driven business decisions, including mining data, manipulating data, visualizing and reporting data, applying basic statistical methods, and analyzing complex datasets while adhering to governance and quality standards throughout the entire data life cycle. This course assists in preparing for the CompTIA Data+ DA0-001 exam.
July 22-26 CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+) Register by July 15
The CompTIA CySA+ course covers the duties of cybersecurity analysts who are responsible for monitoring and detecting security incidents in information systems and networks, and for executing a proper response to such incidents. Depending on the size of the organization, this individual may act alone or may be a member of a cybersecurity incident response team (CSIRT). The course introduces tools and tactics to manage cybersecurity risks, identify various types of common threats, evaluate the organization’s security, collect and analyze cybersecurity intelligence, and handle incidents as they occur. Ultimately, the course promotes a comprehensive approach to security aimed toward those on the front lines of defense. This course assists in the preparation for the CompTIA CySA+ CS0-003 certification exam.
August 5-9 CompTIA Project+ Register by July 29
CompTIA Project+ is intended for individuals in various job roles who are involved in managing, leading, and participating in small- to medium-scale projects. You will apply recognized practices of project management and understand the knowledge and skills required to manage the project life cycle (from initiation and planning through execution, acceptance, support, and closure), ensure appropriate communication, manage resources, manage stakeholders, and maintain project documentation. Project+ covers a high-level introduction to Agile. Additionally, this course can be a significant part of your preparation for the CompTIA Project+ PK0-005 certification exam.
August 19-23 CertNexus CyberSec First Responder (CFR) Register by August 12
This course covers network defense and incident response methods, tactics, and procedures that are in alignment with industry frameworks such as NIST SP 800-61r2 (Computer Security Incident Handling Guide), US-CERT’s National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP), and Presidential Policy Directive (PPD)-41 on Cyber Incident Coordination. It is ideal for candidates who have been tasked with the responsibility of monitoring and detecting security incidents in information systems and networks, and for executing standardized responses to such incidents. The course introduces tools, tactics, and procedures to manage cybersecurity risks, defend cybersecurity assets, identify various types of common threats, evaluate organizations’ security, collect and analyze cybersecurity intelligence, and remediate and report incidents as they occur. This course provides a comprehensive methodology for individuals responsible for defending the cybersecurity of their organization. The course assists in preparation for the CertNexus CyberSec First Responder exam CFR- 410.
September 3-6 Microsoft Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure Register by August 26
This four-day course is designed to measure your ability to accomplish the following technical tasks: deploy and manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) in on-premises and cloud environments, manage Windows Servers and workloads in a hybrid environment, manage virtual machines and containers, implement and manage an on-premises and hybrid networking infrastructure, and manage storage and file services. This course also assists in preparation for the AZ-800 certification exam.
September 24 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals Register by September 16
This one-day course introduces Microsoft 365, an integrated cloud platform that delivers industry-leading productivity apps along with intelligent cloud services and world-class security. You’ll gain foundational knowledge on the considerations and benefits of adopting cloud services and the Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model, with a specific focus on Microsoft 365 cloud service offerings. You will begin by learning about cloud fundamentals, including an overview of cloud computing. You will be introduced to Microsoft 365 and learn how Microsoft 365 solutions improve productivity, facilitate collaboration, and optimize communications. The course then analyzes how security, compliance, privacy, and trust are handled in Microsoft 365, and it concludes with a review of Microsoft 365 subscriptions, licenses, billing, and support. This course assists in the preparation for the MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification.
September 30-October 4 Microsoft Automating Administration with PowerShell Register by September 23
This course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills to use PowerShell for administering and automating administration of Windows servers. This course provides students the skills to identify and build the command they require to perform a specific task. In addition, students learn how to build scripts to accomplish advanced tasks such as automating repetitive tasks and generating reports. This course provides prerequisite skills supporting a broad range of Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Windows Client, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365. In keeping with that goal, this course will not focus on any one of those products, although Windows Server, which is the common platform for all of those products, will serve as the example for the techniques this course teaches.
October 14-18 Microsoft Azure Administrator Register by October 7
This course teaches how to manage Azure subscriptions, secure identities, administer the infrastructure, configure virtual networking, connect Azure and on-premises sites, manage network traffic, implement storage solutions, create and scale virtual machines, implement web apps and containers, back up and share data, and monitor your solution. This course assists in the preparation for the Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ-104 certification exam.
October 28-November 1 CompTIA A+ Core 1 Register by October 21
CompTIA A+ is the industry-preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. It is about much more than PC repair. Candidates are better prepared to troubleshoot and problem-solve, and technicians will better understand a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security. A+ supports the ability to connect users to the data they need to do their jobs regardless of the devices in use. CompTIA A+ CORE 1 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting. The course is vendor-neutral and designed to assist in preparation for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 certification examination, 220-1101, one of two exams required for CompTIA A+ certification.
November 11-15 Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator Register by November 4
In this course, students will learn to plan and execute an endpoint deployment strategy using contemporary deployment techniques and implementing update strategies. The course introduces essential elements of modern management, co-management approaches, and Microsoft Intune integration. It covers app deployment, management of browser-based applications, and key security concepts such as authentication, identities, access, and compliance policies. Technologies like Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint are explored to protect devices and data. This course will assist in the preparation for the MD-102 certification exam.
December 2-6 CompTIA Linux+ Register by November 25
The CompTIA Linux+ course builds on your existing experience with systems operations and administration to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to configure, manage, operate, and troubleshoot a Linux environment by using security best practices, scripting, and automation. CompTIA Linux+ covers common tasks in major distributions of Linux, including the Linux command line, basic maintenance, installing and configuring workstations, and networking. This course assists in the preparation for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam (XK0-005).
December 16-20 EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) Register by December 9
Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) provides an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of ethical hacking, various attack vectors, and preventative countermeasures. C|EH is divided into 20 modules and is delivered through a carefully curated training plan that spans five topics include foot printing and reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, vulnerability threats, social engineering, SQL injection, and much more. This will assist attendees in preparation for the C|EH certification.
