IT Colleagues:
Apple invites you to Office Hours on either:
Wednesday, March 13, at 2pm ET
Thursday, March 14, at 10am ET
The sessions will cover the same material and are being made available to all higher education clients; these are not exclusive to IU.
March SE Office Hours will focus on two of our portals: Apple Business Connect and Apple School Manager.
Business Connect is a relatively new offering that allows you to “be the source of truth” for your campus presence on Apple Maps and the rest of the Maps ecosystem. In this segment, we will describe the benefits of signing up for the free service, claiming your locations, and customizing the way key information appears to Apple users across Apple Maps, Messages, Wallet, Siri, and other apps.
For the second half of the March meeting, we will be highlighting some of the new features recently added to Apple School Manager, as well as general portal best practices. We’ll discuss features like simplifying automated device deployment workflows, granular permissions, working with custom identity providers, and more. We’ll also review app purchasing best practices and discuss how you can deploy private and custom apps.
The scheduled 60 minutes will include time for Q&A on the main topics. We invite you to stay an additional 30 minutes for further discussion on other Apple related topics.
We will use unique Webex URLs for each session:
Wednesday, March 13th – https://appleinc.webex.com/appleinc/j.php?MTID=mf0499980593b09be5a50c9a5056dfa79
Thursday, March 14th – https://appleinc.webex.com/appleinc/j.php?MTID=m1822eb9f7508987a77898214d609ab33
To help you better plan for future events, we have created a shared calendar. We will add placeholders as we set more dates and topics, and also WebEx details as soon as they are determined.
