IT Professionals,
On Wednesday, November 15, LiveWhale will stop returning API V1 responses and will instead return API V2 responses to all API requests. Customers still using API V1 will need to start using API V2.
This follows an October 11 change in which LiveWhale started limiting API V1 responses to 5 events each due to performance issues.
If you support websites that use the latest version of IU Framework, then their events feeds should still work. However, the feeds should be changed to V2 API links. This feed builder can help customers create V2 feeds easily.
For customers not using IU Framework, then they can modify their custom code for their events feeds to work, or they can start using LiveWhale widgets until they have finished their code changes.
Customers have been notified about this API change through IU LiveWhale documentation, Slack channels and WEB COP meetings.
Refer to the documentation on LiveWhale API V2. There is also a list of feeds currently using API V1.
Send an email to events@iu.edu for any further questions or assistance.
