As per our announcement of the Exchange mailboxes creation for Batch 2 scheduled for July 13, here is the Batch 2 impact list of group and primary accounts with forwards set in MAS. After these Exchange mailboxes are created, EMA will then programmatically recreate any forwarding rules set in MAS in the new Exchange mailbox.
There may be a gap of 1-3 hours between the creation of the Exchange mailbox and the creation of the forwarding rules. During this time, emails sent to the recipient from other IU Exchange accounts will be delivered to the new mailbox. Therefore, we are recommending affected account owners check the Exchange mailbox for any messages that were delivered during this interim period. A direct communication was sent to affected account owners on July 6.
Extra action may be needed for group accounts
If the group account owners are no longer active at IU, the account ownership will need to be replaced with active usernames.

You are receiving this email because you do not currently have a mailbox in Exchange Online at IU. As part of an ongoing project to improve the security and mail handling processes at IU, administrators will create an Exchange Online mailbox for your account(s) on Thursday, July 13.
Our records indicate you have the following email forwarding rule(s) configured in the IU email routing system:
custom1@iu.edu forwards to custom1@gmail.com
custom2@iupui.edu forwards to custom2@aol.com
custom3@iue.edu forwards to custom3@yahoo.com
custom4@indiana.edu forwards to custom4@comcast.net
When your new Exchange Online mailbox is created, administrators will also create the above forwarding rule(s) in your mailbox to ensure delivery of your email to your forwarding address(es) is unaffected. However, please be aware that there may be a gap of 1-3 hours between the creation of your mailbox and the creation of your forwarding rule(s). For example, if somebody@iu.edu emails you after your Exchange mailbox is created but before your forwarding rule(s) are created, the email will be delivered to your Exchange mailbox but will not be forwarded according to the rule(s) listed above.
You will receive a follow-up email after the forwarding rule(s) have been created, at which point we strongly encourage you to check your Exchange mailbox to ensure you don’t miss any messages that were delivered prior to the creation of the forwarding rule(s).
