IT Professionals,
We are reaching out to let you know that on May 6, 2023, Zoom will be enforcing a new minimum version as outlined in their Quarterly Software Lifecycle Policy.
These clients* are associated with a device or devices running an older version of Zoom that will not be supported under this policy. Clients will be notified via direct email on April 26 and asked to upgrade. The list includes both managed and unmanaged devices.
Action required
Please review the list and reach out to any of your constituents prior to the mailing and enforcement dates. Device, OS, and last login data are available in the linked spreadsheet to help you further investigate.
Clients who do not upgrade Zoom by May 6 will be unable to join meetings until Zoom has been updated. Zoom is available and actively maintained in both SCCM and Jamf. You can also visit the Zoom Download Center for the latest versions of Zoom.
We highly recommend enabling automatic updates to ensure clients are running the latest version of Zoom.
If you have questions regarding Zoom, please contact edshelp@iu.edu.

*Some clients on this list may have left the university. A Zoom purge to remove those no longer affiliated with IU is conducted each summer. While they do not have access to Zoom, inactive clients may still appear on these reports as cleanup is done on an annual basis.
