As previously communicated to account owners, the Footprints ticketing software will remove all access on December 21. Account owners were sent the messages below and we wanted to make you aware of the change. Communication on this started July 15, 2022.

Good afternoon and Happy Friday! About this time last year I began asking everyone to begin setting up a date/time to get over into ServiceNow and out of Footprints. You all have been great partners in the effort to get into a new system (even if it wasn’t ServiceNow) and adjusting your work processes for that. Since most have been in a new system for well over 6 months, it’s time to turn our focus to the retirement of Footprints. As such, I need folks to be aware of 2 things:
- Save off any data you may want for long term use. I strongly encourage your teams to use the reporting function in Footprints to download any data you wish to retain and put it in a shared location where your team can access it if needed. You may need to break up the reporting by time frame or service to get it into manageable chunks for those of you who had large instances. We have people who are still logging into Footprints first thing each morning, every morning. We will be turning off access to Footprints completely in December 2022 and will begin to decommission the application. That is 4 months away!
- Additionally, we are beginning to retire pieces and parts that are no longer needed since everyone is “read only” in Footprints. Therefore, in the early days of next week, the Footprints landing page will be retired. This will include any content accessible from the landing page such as help documentation and the customer portal. Once the page is retired, you will be redirected to the application automatically when you visit https://footprints.iu.edu. You will still be able to get in and run reports and read ticket data.
