IT Professionals,
On September 28, clients of Zoom Health at IU were migrated into a subgroup within IU’s primary Zoom instance at iu.zoom.us. Previously these clients were contained in a separate instance of Zoom, known as Zoom Health, at iu-baa.zoom.us. Approximately 1,800 accounts were affected by this migration.
This move allows IU Zoom administrators to manage Zoom Health more efficiently and increases access to Zoom Health for IU clients. Via the subgroup, Zoom Health clients are provisioned with account and meeting settings that help ensure the security of protected health information (PHI). Please refer to the IU Knowledge Base for details on Zoom Health account settings.
If you have clients with Zoom Health status, here are some important points to be aware of:
- There is not a separate login for Zoom Health. All Zoom users at IU will log in via https://iu.zoom.us/signin
-
- If a client encounters an “error: unauthorized” message, please check their sign-in URL.
- Zoom Health status is available to any active IU client who hosts or schedules Zoom meetings in which PHI is discussed. Zoom meetings inherit the settings of the client who creates them, even if that client does not begin or attend the meeting.
-
- Schedulers should add intended hosts as alternative hosts. Alternative hosts can begin meetings and admit attendees from the waiting room.
- Meetings created by Zoom Health users have a waiting room enforced for all attendees. Hosts can admit attendees individually or in bulk by selecting the “admit all” option.
- Clients with Zoom Health status do not have access to third-party app integrations offered in the Zoom Marketplace.
