IT Professionals,
We wanted to make you aware of some upcoming changes as part of the Google Storage Migration. As we near deadlines, more direct mailings will be sent to accounts, and we would welcome any assistance you can provide within your units to encourage completion of migration surveys.
To help keep track of deadlines, we have made several updates to the Google Services Dashboard. We have added migration information for with My Drive and Shared Drives, and non-IT Pros now have access to the Shared Drive portion for Shared Drives they have requested to migrate.
Gmail Updates:
- September 2 – Last day to request Gmail at IU reenable
- September 16 – All Gmail reenables will be removed from the email structure
- October 1 – Deletion of Gmail at IU data for current IU accounts
Google Storage Updates:
- September 21 – Forms for both Google Shared Drive and Google My Drive must be submitted. If over quota and not submitted, My Drive accounts will be added to the administrative move automatically
- November 1 – 5 GB quota added for non-admin moves AND delete all data and accounts from the separated account organization that have been separated for more than 30 days
- November 21 – Automatically assign administrative move for My Drive accounts that selected “manual move” or “self-delete data” and are still over quota
- December 1 – Set quota to zero on any Shared Drives that have not completed Purchase Orders
- December 1 – Set group account My Drive quotas to zero
