Collaboration Technologies and eLearning Services would like to make you aware of a change to Kaltura and Zoom captioning starting July 29.
Zoom content that is automatically uploaded to Kaltura will now use Zoom transcripts. This is a change from the automatic Kaltura captions previously utilized. The captions will be labeled “Zoom” when the client selects Closed Captions. A Knowledge Base article provides details on enabling transcripts in your Zoom recordings.
Clients can still order mechanical or Professional Captions once the content is added to Kaltura.
In addition, the eLearning Services Team will be adding the Microsoft Teams Classes tool as a globally available tool in Canvas.
