IT Professionals,
The IUanyWare team plans to perform annual system maintenance in the early hours of Friday, August 12, 2022, starting at about midnight and ending around 6:00 am. This periodic reset improves application performance, printing capabilities, and cloud storage integration. The maintenance will require a reset of all user profiles. Individualized settings will be lost in the reset.
Tips for exporting personal application settings prior to the reset and a list of affected applications and settings are detailed in the Knowledge Base article About the IUanyWare user profile reset.
Users may notice the first login following the reset will take a bit longer to process than usual. They will also see prompts to reconfigure some applications and may wish to manually restore some preference settings.
The IUanyWare team will post a notification on their login page and plans to post an IT Notice on https://status.iu.edu. If you have any questions, please contact your campus IT Support Center.

Dear IUanyWare customers,
Between midnight and 6am on August 12, UITS will reset all IUanyWare user profiles to optimize performance.
Avoid losing data
If you have saved files to the Desktop or Documents folder in an IUanyWare application or desktop, make sure that your files are also saved in your OneDrive or personal file share. Learn more about finding your files in this KB doc: Work with files when using an IUanyWare application.
After the maintenance
Some things to note about the first time you log in to IUanyWare after the reset:
- The application may take longer to load while it rebuilds your user profile
- Once your profile is rebuilt, the app should load faster than it did previously
- You’ll need to reconfigure personal settings for some of the applications (get more details in About the IUanyWare user profile reset)
This maintenance is performed to improve application performance, printing capabilities, and IU Cloud Storage resource mapping. Learn more about IUanyWare cloud storage options in this KB doc: About the IU Cloud Storage Portal.
If you have questions, contact your local campus Support Center.
Best Regards,
UITS Support Center
