With the removal of Duo telephony, it was discovered that adding existing phones to additional accounts, such as group accounts, requires an SMS verification. Some clients have been unable to self-enroll these accounts since the change and required assistance from Duo administrators.
Administrators have implemented a fix that reenables universal SMS for mobile devices, but only for the purposes of adding them to Duo. Once the device addition process is complete the new telephony rules apply.
