Colleagues:
Due to issues during pilot testing, tomorrow’s Modern Auth Change for Exchange Online is being delayed. Instead of a global rollout, UITS and the IT Pro community will have Modern Auth required for their accounts. A wider rollout will be scheduled pending feedback from UITS and IT Professionals.
During this limited deployment, if UITS employees or other IT Professionals receive a notification that “Your email access has been blocked”, please contact your IT Professional with the make, model, OS version of your device, as well as the mail app you are using. IT Professionals, please forward your reports to UITS Tier 2 Support at sct2@iu.edu. This information will help us to better understand the scope and impact on the IU community.
For modern iOS and Android devices using the native mail app, the remedy for the “Your email access has been blocked” error is to remove the mail profile in the mail application, and then add it back again [1].
Some older devices and third-party mail clients may not be compatible with Modern Authentication and will need to be updated.
If you have any other questions or issues, please contact your campus Support Center.
