Instructure will be conducting routine maintenance on Canvas on Saturday, April 16, 2022, [1] and IU will be enabling a new ‘feature option’ in Canvas on Monday, May 9, 2022 [2].
Notable changes in the April 16, 2022, release include:
- Course Settings – Assignment Default Due Time Field
- Hierarchy: Course/Subaccount/Root account
- New Quizzes
- Addition of ‘This Course’ Item Bank Filter
- LTI v1.3 Deep Linking Support
- LTI Deep Linking for Module Index Menu
- LTI Deep Linking Line Items
In addition May 9, IU will be enabling the “Improved Outcomes Management” feature option in Canvas, which involves significant changes to the user interface for creating and managing outcomes in Canvas accounts and courses. You and your faculty can preview the feature in IU’s Canvas Test Environment [3]. For additional information, see the Canvas Release Notes (2022-03-19) [2].
