IT Professionals:
The ServiceNow team is excited to announce a new module called Item Designer that is now in production in ServiceNow. Item Designer allows agents and groups to create, edit, and publish standardized Service Catalog items. It does this by structuring the item-creation process around a uniform presentation and workflow logic.
In ServiceNow, the catalog-item system defines the items and services that users can request from the Service Catalog. A request for a new computer from a non-IT faculty or staff member is an example of one such request.
Item Designer allows agents and groups to manage their own catalog-items without administrative intervention and helps ensure a consistent and standardized user experience for the Service Catalog and its catalog items. Documentation about Item Designer is available in the ServiceNow knowledge base [1].
If you have questions about Item Designer or need more information, please join ITCP and the ServiceNow team at an informal coffee hour on Zoom [2]:
- Wednesday, January 26, 1:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, February 1, 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, February 10, 1:00 p.m.
Additionally, you can send questions and comments to smthelp@iu.edu.
