IT Professionals:
Endpoint Management Services is retiring the Splunk service on Monday, November 1.
Current customers of the Splunk infrastructure have been notified [1] and onboarded [2] (instructed on how to migrate to Elastic). We deeply appreciate all their hard work and cooperation during this process.
As a result, any remaining machines still using the Splunk Universal Forwarder to communicate with the Splunk infrastructure will no longer make connections. It is good practice to remove unneeded services.
Please remove the Splunk Universal Forwarders from your systems.
NOTE: New or non-migrated departments who have not started service in Elastic can onboard after Splunk is fully decommissioned. Please plan to onboard on or after January 1, 2022, and watch for further details on new customer onboarding. Please contact lservnix@iu.edu if there are additional questions.
