IT Professionals,
The eLearning Services team (eLS) wants to inform you of several changes to our services.
Zoom
To help keep Zoom at IU secure and reduce the number of Zoombombing incidents, the Annotation feature [1] will no longer be enabled by default starting on Thursday, April 8 at 5:00am. However, individual users will still have the option to enable and use this feature in their own meetings. For more information about securing your Zoom meetings, refer to Prevent Zoombombing using Zoom privacy and security features [2].
Qualtrics
Users may now opt into several updates involving the Qualtrics [3] survey builder [4], project builder, and in-product navigation. At the end of April, these updates will be the default experience for all Qualtrics at IU accounts, although individual users can still revert to the previous versions of these features. By the end of May, these updates will be enforced for all accounts.
Google at IU
Users must update their installation of Google Drive for Desktop [5], formerly known as Google File Stream, to version 40.x or higher before May 18 to continue using it without interruption. Those who do not upgrade before May 18 will receive in-app messaging to upgrade.
As always, we will continue to provide timely communication/additional information concerning future updates.
