IT Professionals:
Microsoft has identified an issue with an update that could affect some Windows devices at Indiana University. After installing the March cumulative update for Windows 10, users might receive an APC_INDEX_MISMATCH error with a blue screen when attempting to print to certain printers in some apps. This issue affects a subset of Type 3 printer drivers and does not appear to affect printer drivers that are Type 4. Type 3 printer drivers are defined as printers downloaded from a manufacturer’s website. Type 4 Drivers come from Windows updates or are bundled with the operating system.
This issue affects all supported Windows 10 versions. For additional information click on the following link:

SCCM administrators will be delaying the release of the offending patches by one week to allow IT Pros extra time to determine the impact of the issue in their environments.
Additionally, Microsoft has released an out-of-band patch that will resolve the issue. (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-emergency-updates-released-to-fix-printing-crashes/)
