Updates to IU Login for Sitehost and Pages – IT Community Partnerships

IT Professionals:

The following email will be sent directly to Sitehost and Pages owners and contacts, informing them of the upcoming update to IU Login. After this change, registered sites using .htaccess files for CAS authentication will work automatically. Registered sites with direct references to “cas.iu.edu” will need to change Sitehost-test references to “idp-stage.login.iu.edu” by March 11 and Sitehost production and Pages references to “idp.login.iu.edu” by March 18.

Greetings IU Sitehost and Pages owners and contacts,

The Enterprise Web Technical Services team is working with the Identity Management Systems (IMS) team to transition CAS to the new authentication infrastructure, IU Login 2.0, on Sitehost and Pages.

On Thursday, March 11, authentication on Sitehost-test will switch to IU Login 2.0, using the CAS 2.0 protocol.

On Thursday, March 18, authentication on Sitehost and Pages will switch to IU Login 2.0, using the CAS 2.0 protocol.

If your site was using CAS authentication as of March 1, 2021, your site has already been registered with IMS. If you would like to add authentication to your site after this date, or make changes, please complete the CAS Integration Request form.

To confirm your site has been automatically registered as of March 1, check the IU Login Auto-Registration List.

After this change, registered sites using .htaccess files for CAS authentication will work automatically. Registered sites with direct references to “cas.iu.edu” will need to change Sitehost-test references to “idp-stage.login.iu.edu” by March 11 and Sitehost production and Pages references to “idp.login.iu.edu” by March 18.
