Sitehost MySQL-test Updates Rescheduled – IT Community Partnerships

The following mailing will be going out directly to account owners and contacts on Wednesday, January 20 to inform them of the rescheduled Sitehost MSQL-test update. The new date for the upgrades will be Thursday, January 28.

Greetings IU Sitehost owners and contacts,

The Database Administration Team will be updating the Sitehost MySQL-Test servers (mysql-test.uits.iu.edu) from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0 on Thursday, January 28, between 8-10 am. During this time, MySQL-Test will be unavailable. (Note: This is the update originally scheduled for January 7.)

Users are encouraged to test their sites and applications for compatibility issues.

Dates for updating the MySQL production environment (in addition to the Sitehost production PHP update) will be announced soon.
