IT Professional Colleagues:
The first email below will be sent directly to affected users informing them of an upcoming change in their Office 365 license at IU. Affected users will have their license changed from A5 to A1. The second email below will be sent directly to all retired staff who now have access to the A1 license.
An impact list for both sets of affected users are included at the following link: [Sec] O365 License Changes

Greetings,
You are receiving this email because of a change in IU’s Microsoft licensing affecting:
- Retired academic faculty
- Non-paid academic faculty
- Temporary Americorps (non-employee)
- Non-paid university associates
- Affiliates
IU is moving its Exchange email environment to the cloud, also known as Exchange Online. Because of this move, your new IU license will include most Microsoft 365 web apps (also known as Office for the web) including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and 1TB OneDrive storage. It will not include Microsoft 365 desktop apps or Skype for Business which requires an IU phone number. (Regular consumer Skype is available for anyone to use.)
You will retain your IU email account accessible via a new Outlook Web Access (OWA) after your account has been migrated to Exchange Online. Your Exchange Online quota will be 50GB.
If you have an IU-related business need for additional Microsoft products not included in your license (such as Skype for Business for an IU phone number) or we have somehow placed you incorrectly into one of the groups listed above, please contact the Support Center and we will be glad to work with you to resolve any issues.
