Reminder: Sitehost MySQL-test updates – IT Community Partnerships

IT Professionals:

The following email was sent directly to Sitehost owners informing them that there will be an update of MySQL on the test environment on January 7. Users are encouraged to test their sites and applications for compatibility before WebTech updates the production environment later this year.

Greetings IU Sitehost owners and contacts,

The Database Administration Team will be updating the Sitehost MySQL-Test servers (mysql-test.uits.iu.edu) from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0 on Thursday, January 7, between 8-10 am. During this time, MySQL-Test will be unavailable.

Users are encouraged to test their sites and applications for compatibility issues.

Dates for updating the MySQL production environment (in addition to the Sitehost production PHP update) will be announced soon.
