IT Professionals:
A final reminder that the Box Migration Phase 2 survey is closing Saturday, October 10. The Box Migration task force has gathered a list of those group accounts that have not been surveyed yet and is encouraging IT Pros to review this impact list [1] for accounts of people they support. The latest version to check is titled ‘No Response Impact’, and you can sort the list by department. The text of the final reminder sent to account owners follows below.

~~~~~ Text of Direct Mailing ~~~~~
Greetings group account owners,
All group, organizational, and Box Entrusted Data Account (BEDA) account owners must take action to avoid losing your files. (Determine which group accounts you own.)
Unlike the first phase of the Box migration, taking no action will result in losing access to your data.
If you do not submit the survey for your non-personal accounts, they will be disabled and all the files owned by those accounts will not be visible starting Monday, October 12. The files/folders will still exist but those non-personal accounts will need to be re-enabled to access that data via Box again.
Note: The UITS Support Center has been heavily engaged which may cause delays for re-enable requests.
In order to avoid losing your data during the automated migration:
- Organize your files and determine where you wish to move them.
- Create an institutional file storage location in the Microsoft or Google environment prior to the move.
- Fill out the Institutional storage request form to request new storage.
- Learn why you should create an institutional file storage location.
- Fill out a survey indicating where you want your files to be moved by October 10. In this survey, you will choose a destination for each top-level folder in Box in the Microsoft environment, the Google environment, or a combination of both.
Find all the details about how to take action.
Do not wait until the October 10 deadline to begin this process. These steps can take some work to complete. You will likely need to ask co-owners and frequent users of the files which service would best meet their collaboration and storage needs.
If you plan to manually move your files, move them before October 12, or access to those files in box will be lost. If you have no files to move, or you’ve already completed a manual migration, you can disregard this message.
