IT Colleagues,
The IU Center of Excellence for Women & Technology requests your help in identifying resources for a thread of programs we want to offer this year to interested members of the entire IU community that we’re calling “AI for Everyone”. Our goal is to increase awareness of and knowledge about the role that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies play in our everyday lives. AI is now all around us, and it will increasingly shape the future of research, how we function in the classroom and other learning environments, and in the world of work outside the academy. Major industries where our students will work are already using AI with significant impact. Examples include healthcare, transportation, finance, e-commerce, manufacturing, social media, communications, stores and services, searching, big data, and more. This pervasiveness raises ethical questions and serious concerns about equity and bias. And yet, we don’t have a common understanding of what AI is at this point in its evolution, how it is being applied, and how it’s actually shaping the world of the future.
What resources can you share about AI for Everyone? We seek engaging speakers who can provide examples that AI has a reach beyond computer science and machine learning. Help us connect AI to various disciplines, activities, thought leaders, case studies, activities, and career information!
Please take 3 minutes to respond to this survey (https://go.iu.edu/3jcG) to help us build our program!
