IT Professionals,
Join us for an infoshare about the upcoming Exchange Online migration. The move to Exchange Online will vastly improve IU’s mail security by requiring all connections to mail to use 2 Factor Authentication. The Office 365 platform also provides many advanced Threat Protection settings, and other enhanced controls.
Exchange Online also integrates directly into Microsoft Teams, allowing users to schedule meetings, see their exchange calendar, and Free/Busy information all within the Teams application. Other Office 365 applications like Power Automate can also take advantage of the account, storing attachments in OneDrive, or setting email triggers on activity.
The timeline for this migration is October to December 2020. Departments will move as a unit, by their organizational code (i.e. BL-SPEA). This migration will include users, groups, and resource rooms. We’ll publish schedules with account lists as we can to IT Pros, with as much lead time as possible. Individual users will be notified 1 week before their move.
