Registration closes Wednesday for the last September EdCert course, CompTIA Linux+ (XK0-004). In this course, students will learn knowledge and skills required to configure, manage, operate, and troubleshoot a Linux environment by using security best practices, scripting, and automation. This course assists in the preparation for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam (XK0-004). Held online Sep 28-Oct 2, the cost is $500. Register by Sep 23.

Oct 12-16 CySA+ [Cybersecurity Analyst+] (Exam CS0-002)

The CompTIA CySA+ course covers the duties of cybersecurity analysts who are responsible for monitoring and detecting security incidents in information systems and networks, and for executing a proper response to such incidents. The course introduces tools and tactics to manage cybersecurity risks, identify various types of common threats, evaluate the organization’s security, collect and analyze cybersecurity intelligence, and handle incidents as they occur. This course assists in the preparation for the CompTIA CySA+ CS0-002 certification exam.
Oct 19-22 Automating Administration with Windows PowerShell (MOC 10961)

This course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills to use Windows PowerShell for administering and automating administration of Windows servers. Learn the skills to identify and build the command required to perform a specific task as well as how to build scripts to accomplish advanced tasks. This course provides prerequisite skills supporting a broad range of Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Windows Client, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Microsoft SQL Server, System Center, and more. This course will not focus on any one of those products but Windows Server, the common platform for all of those products, will serve as the example for the techniques this course teaches.
Oct 26-30 CISSP [Certified Information Systems Security Professional]

The CISSP course will expand upon your knowledge by addressing the essential elements of the eight domains that comprise a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) for information systems security professionals. These include Security and Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development Security. The course offers a job-related approach to the security process, while providing a framework to prepare for CISSP certification.
Each of these courses spans five-days and meets daily from 9 am to 4 pm ET. Courses take advantage of cloud-based lab environments where available, which remain accessible for your use for approximately 180 days!
