IT Professionals:
The Enterprise Infrastructure team would like to make you aware that the University has put in place a “hard interrupt” on CAS (IU Login) Wednesday night (8/19) at midnight for any student on any campus who has not filled out the Student Commitment Form (SCF) [1] and for any student employees who have not filled out the Community Responsibility Acknowledgement Form (CRA) [2] and SCF. These forms outline the health and hygiene requirements for returning to campus. This means – that until the student clicks on the form and fills it out – they will not have access to any IU system. Currently, there are NO exceptions to this process.
Also, on Thursday (8/20) at midnight, a hard interrupt will be presented for any off-campus IU Bloomington student who is enrolled in at least 1 in-person class and has not signed up for or completed on-arrival testing. Exceptions are provided for anyone who has submitted a positive test result within the last 90 days. Student will then be presented with the opportunity to either schedule a test or submit an exemption request. In either case, they will be allowed to continue with their CAS login. The Student Affairs Office will review exemption request. If it is approved, no further interrupts will occur. If it is denied, the student will be interrupted again. Currently, the only exemptions are for students in a fully online schedule not living in Bloomington and have filled out the fee waiver form for Bloomington.
