The IUanyWare team plans to perform annual system maintenance in the early hours of Friday, August 14, 2020 (starting at about midnight and ending around 6:00 am). This periodic reset improves application performance, printing capabilities, and cloud storage integration. The maintenance will require a reset of all user profiles. Individualized settings will be lost in the reset.
Tips for exporting personal application settings prior to the reset and a list of affected applications and settings are detailed in “About the IUanyWare user profile reset” [1].
Users may notice the first login following the reset will take a bit longer to process than usual. They will also see prompts to reconfigure some applications and may wish to manually restore some preference settings.
If you use Microsoft Outlook in IUanyWare, you will need to either import your email S/MIME certificate to the new profile or download and install a new one. The Trust Center settings in Outlook must also be reconfigured [2].

Dear IUanyWare customers,
On August 14, 2020 UITS will reset all IUanyWare user profiles to optimize performance.
Have you saved your files to the Desktop or Documents folder in an IUanyWare application or desktop? Avoid losing your data on August 14! Check your OneDrive, Google Drive, or personal file share outside of IUanyWare to make sure your files are saved there. For tips on finding your files, see the following KB doc: Work with files when using and IUanyWare application.
As a result, the first time you log in to IUanyWare after the maintenance:
- IUanyWare may take slightly longer to load, while it rebuilds your user profile. Once that process is complete, IUanyWare should load faster than it did before maintenance.
- You will need to reconfigure personal settings for some of the applications you use. For more details, see “About the IUanyWare user profile reset” [1].
This maintenance will improve application performance, printing capabilities, and mapping of your IU Cloud Storage resources.
