IT Professionals:
Campus Networks would like to announce the availability of the new Campus Proxy Service [1]. The intended use of this service is for systems that are in campus buildings that require private ip addresses [2] and need access to the internet for patches and security updates. The service is separate and distinct from the Data Center Proxy Service, which is specific to systems that reside in the IU Data Centers at IUB and IUPUI.
This Campus Proxy service is limited to systems that reside in campus buildings that are on the wired network. It is not intended for departments to move the entirety of all wired devices to private IPs. This service is a limited resource and Campus Networks reserves the right to review requested access for devices that will be utilizing the service.
You can make a request to use the Campus Proxy Service through the UITS Telecommunications Request form [3].
If you have questions regarding the use of this service, please email noc@iu.edu.
