Hello IT Professionals,
Registration closes Wednesday for the first of three EdCert courses offered in March. CompTIA Server+ (Exam SK0-004) will be held Mon, Mar 2 – Fri, Mar 6. Register by this Wednesday, February 26th. Cost is $500.
Description: This 5-day course builds on your existing professional experience to present the next tier of skills and concepts that you will use on the job when administering any type of network server, be it in data center or cloud environments. CompTIA Server+ covers the latest server technologies including virtualization, security and network-attached storage. Skills learned include server architecture, administration, storage, security, networking, troubleshooting as well as disaster recovery. The course provides the primary knowledge and skills you will require preparing for any type of network server-related career and assists in preparation for the Server+ SK0-004 certification exam.
Next we want to draw your attention to the scheduling differences in our remaining March courses, scheduled over more than one week to accommodate a newer EdCert offering.
Our second course in March is Red Hat System Administration I & II (Exam EX200). This eight-day course will be held Tuesdays only, Mar 24–May 12 (8 Tuesdays). Register by Mar 18. Cost is $700.
Description: This 8-day course covers the core system administration skills required in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments and contains the content of both the Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) and Red Hat System Administration II (RH134) training. It provides a foundation for Linux system administrators by introducing key command line concepts and other enterprise-level tools and then goes deeper into enterprise Linux administration including file systems and partitioning, logical volumes, SELinux, firewalling, and troubleshooting. Red Hat recommends these two courses as the preparation for the performance-based Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200).
Our third course with a March start will meet across two weeks so carefully check your schedule. CompTIA Network+ (Exam N10-007) will be held Wed–Fri, Mar 25–27 & Wed–Thu, Apr 1-2. Register by Mar 18. Cost is $500.
Description: This 5-day course covers the essential knowledge and skills needed for configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common wired and wireless network devices. Ensures IT professionals can design and implement functional networks, identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations, configure/manage/maintain essential network devices, use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks, and implement network security, standards, and protocols. Also included are emerging technologies such as unified communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization technologies. This course aids in the preparation for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam (N10-007).
