IT Professionals:
This communication is the second of three reminders before IT People (https://itpeople.apps.iu.edu/), the replacement to the IT Pro Database, becomes fully active. We will convey one final reminder on Monday, January 6th 2020 conveying that tools will become active within IT People on Monday, January 13th, 2020.
IT unit leadership must assign tool access and the departments supported within IT People. Without comprehensively assigning tool and department access, tool access will be temporarily unavailable to your teams once IT People becomes fully active. In particular, department assignment is important for SuperPass functionality, which is aligned with the department(s) your unit supports. Additionally, our reporting dashboard we are creating for IT pros is built on both IT People and the Netdisco data (revealing datajack information for network-attached devices) and relies upon IT leadership to designate both department(s) and building(s) supported by your IT unit to be reportable.
As always, please submit any questions you might have on the above (tool, department or building assignment within IT People) to talk2uits@iu.edu.
