IU Sitehosting migration open support sessions start November 12

IT Professionals:

The Web Services Support & Enterprise Web Technical Services teams would like to make you aware of an upcoming open support session for the IU Sitehost migration. The below email was sent to account owners and contacts of Webserve, which serves as a reminder of the dates when Webserve sites will be disabled. It also is an announcement of open support sessions via Zoom with members of the support and development teams. The first session will be held on November 12 and then every Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm through December 17.

Greetings Webserve account owners and contacts,

Reminder
To prevent your web site from being disabled you must migrate from Webserve to IU Sitehosting before the following dates:

· Most sites on Webserve (all sites that use PHP) that have not migrated will be disabled on December 23, 2019.

· All sites still on Webserve, regardless of content, will be disabled on March 20, 2020.

New: open support sessions
Members of Support Center Tier 2 Web Services Support, WebTech Linux and WCMS, and the IU Web Framework developer team will be offering open support sessions via a Zoom videoconferencing room where account owners and developers can get answers to their support and migration questions.

First support session Nov. 12
The first open session will be held Tuesday, November 12 from 1pm to 5pm. Sessions will be held every Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm through December 17, 2019. To join the support session from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android, visit: iu.zoom.us/s/842985658.

View the Webserve accounts that you own (authenticate with IU Login). You will also see the virtual host names associated with the Webserve account and a link to the Sitehost account request form for each of your Webserve accounts. If you are not the owner of any Webserve accounts, the report will be blank. This report is updated approximately every two weeks.

If you no longer need one or more of your Webserve accounts, please contact sct2@iu.edu to retire your account.
