IT Professionals:
The Web Services Support & Enterprise Web Technical Services teams has contacted Webserve owners directly with the below text making them aware that the Webtech site interface is changing. The communication is also a reminder to prevent their web sites from being disabled by migrating to Sitehost.
You can view Webserve accounts that you own [1] and if you’d like to get a list of group Webserve accounts for the units you support, please contact talk2uits@iu.edu.
Since the original announcement, ITCP has hosted an infoshare with details about the transition and is available via Kaltura for viewing [2].
If you need assistance in transitioning websites, please contact Support Center Tier 2 (sct2@iu.edu).

~~~~~ Text of Direct Mailing ~~~~~
Greetings Webserve account owners and contacts,
Based on your feedback, the user interface of the website used to request and manage IU Sitehosting accounts will change on Thursday, October 24.
Reminder: To prevent your web site from being disabled you must migrate from Webserve to IU Sitehosting before the following dates:
- Most sites on Webserve (all sites that use PHP) that have not migrated will be disabled on December 23, 2019.
- All sites still on Webserve, regardless of content, will be disabled on March 20, 2020.
View the Webserve accounts that you own (authenticate with IU Login). You will also see the virtual host names associated with the Webserve account and a link to the Sitehost account request form for each of your Webserve accounts. If you are not the owner of any Webserve accounts, the report will be blank.
If you no longer need one or more of your Webserve accounts, please contact sct2@iu.edu to retire your account.
For information on the Webserve retirement and transition to IU Sitehosting see the “IU Sitehosting” service page. There is new information on that page about MachForm and the future of Webserve accounts – new accounts and virtual hosts stopped being created on October 1, 2019.
If you have questions, please contact Support Center Tier 2 (Web Services Support) at sct2@iu.edu, or via phone: 812-856-SCT2 (7282) option 4, or 317-278-SCT2 (7282) option 4.
Thank you,
The Web Services Support & Enterprise Web Technical Services teams
~~~~~ Today’s IT Pro Tip ~~~~~
NameCoach is available for people listings within the IU Directory and the Canvas Photo Roster – just look for the audio symbol next to the person’s name. All IU faculty, staff, and students have access to NameCoach, a tool for recording your name so others can learn how to pronounce it. Plus, you can copy your name badge into your email signature and add your name page to your social media. Learn more.
